Originally from Texas, Katie is a creative based out of Brooklyn, NY. She tries to push the boundaries of traditional storytelling and champions the idea that movies are one of the most important art forms in today's culture. Katie believes deeply in the power of story and in the personal and specific aspects of creating as a crucial way of connecting with others. She is inspired by modern independent cinema, 90s crime thrillers, and Italian Neorealism. She hopes that people walk away from her work feeling not only entertained, but also more fully seen and heard.

Katie has crewed on a number of student films, five features, a tv pilot, and has directed a handful of her own shorts. She is also a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor's in Film & Digital Media. Katie enjoys a good bowl of queso, road trips, and hanging out with her cat, Hubbell.
